FAQ
Questions tailor shops ask before the first order
Each answer is short. If your question is not here, ask us on WhatsApp.
Are your suits made in Italy?
No, every suit is cut and sewn in our own workshop in Shanghai, China. The cloth comes from named mills and merchants, most of them in Europe, and many in Italy and England. The label states the country of origin.
Are you a mill, or connected to the mills you name?
No, Italian Mill Suits is a made to measure workshop. We buy cloth as a customer of each mill and merchant. We are not an authorised dealer, licensee or representative of any of them.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum is one piece, so you can order a single suit for a single client.
How long does an order take?
14 days in production from the confirmed order. Shipping time comes on top. For special-order cloth, the mill's own lead time comes before those 14 days.
What does a suit cost?
Per two-piece suit, ex works Shanghai: CMT from 100 USD, full package from 155 USD, and half canvas, full package, from 185 USD. The cloth and construction you choose set the final price.
Which Zegna and Vitale Barberis Canonico cloth do you hold?
We hold 162 Zegna styles in Shanghai: 99 from Trofeo and 63 from Traveller. We also hold 40 styles from the Vitale Barberis Canonico Four Seasons book.
Can my client have Loro Piana?
Yes, as a special order. Give us the bunch and reference and we order it once the job is confirmed. We do not hold Loro Piana in Shanghai, so the mill's lead time comes before our 14 days in production.
