Made to measure for the trade

Cloth from 33 mills and merchants

For tailor shops and suit labels

Suits cut from Italian and English mill cloth, made to measure for your shop from one piece

Your client asks for Zegna, Vitale Barberis Canonico or Loro Piana by name. We cut that cloth to his measurements, build it in the construction you choose and sew your label inside.

Named mills and merchants weave the cloth. Our own workshop in Shanghai, China, cuts and sews the suits. All prices on this site are ex works Shanghai and cover a two-piece suit.

Who this is for

For shops that sell on the cloth and on the canvas

Who we make for

  • Tailor shops whose clients name the mill before they name the colour.
  • Suit labels that sell made to measure under their own name and want mill cloth in the book.
  • Travelling tailors and trunk show tailors who measure in person and need a workshop behind them.
  • Shops that want to try a new maker with one suit before they commit.

Who this is not for

  • People buying one suit for themselves. We sell to businesses only.
  • Buyers who need a suit made in Italy. Our suits are made in Shanghai, and the label says so.
  • Anyone looking for a mill. We cut and sew mill cloth. We do not weave it.

How it works

Four steps from the cloth to your client

  1. Choose the cloth

Pick from the Zegna and Vitale Barberis Canonico books we hold in Shanghai, ask for a special order, or send your own cloth for us to make up (CMT).

  2. Send the measurements

Key them into our online platform, which your staff can use in any of five languages. Of its 47 measurement fields, 31 must be filled in.

  3. We make the suit

Once you confirm, our tailors need 14 days to make it: fused, half canvas or full canvas, with your label sewn in.

  4. We ship it

It goes to your shop, or we send it on to your client at his house, his office or the hotel he is staying in, whichever country that is, with your brand on the shipment.

Loro Piana and Holland & Sherry are special order, as is most of our list. The mill's own lead time comes before our 14 days in production.

Our house book, Corsini LANA Four Seasons, adds 85 fabrics, each one 100% wool: Australian merino at 280 g, made for all four seasons.

Questions

Three things shops ask first

All questions

Are the suits made in Italy?

No. Mills and merchants we name weave the cloth, most of them in Europe. Each suit is then made by our own tailors in Shanghai, China, and its label gives the country of origin.

Can I order one suit to test you?

Yes. One piece is our minimum, so a single client in a single suit is enough to judge our cut and finish before you send more.

Can my client choose Zegna?

Yes. 162 Zegna styles sit on our shelves in Shanghai, 99 of them Trofeo and 63 Traveller. Each one is cut to order, and the suit takes 14 days to make after you confirm, with shipping added on.

Next step

Tell us the cloth your client wants

Tell us the mill, the construction and how many suits you sell. We reply with a quote and the next step. One piece is enough to start.
